Superior Docks Aluminum Gangways have been engineered with certain goals in mind: to meet current standards in both strength and ADA compliance.
Our Aluminum Gangways feature a pipe truss design and TIG/MIG welded construction for strength, durability and aesthetics.
This Aluminum Gangway features a 2” built-in curb on our standard model gangway and a 4” built-in curb on our heavy duty model gangway. They also feature the lowest gangway to float profile in the industry with a 3½” step up.
Both styles of our Aluminum Gangways include marine grade proprietary aluminum decking as a standard feature. With a static co-efficiency rating of 0.9, which is almost twice that recommended by OSHA and ADA, who recommend a 0.5, our decking is slip resistant but not so aggressive that it can’t be walked on with bare feet.
Our Aluminum Gangways may be ordered with a variety of other decking surfaces. Choose from I-Bar grating, pressure treated wood, cedar, IPE or any other 5/4” decking commercially available.
Other options available for our Aluminum Gangway include an ADA compliant intermediate rail, security rails and transition plates.
Our aluminum gangways are available in two models. The standard duty model with 1½” truss pipe design is available in lengths 8’ to 45’ and widths from 28” to 48”. The heavy duty model with 2½” truss pipe design is available in lengths 8’ to 80’ and widths from 48” to 96”.
